Hello everyone,
I'm sure for some of you this might be a surprise since I haven't put out a journal entry since 2010. That's alright though; thanks to everyone here, we've managed to collect a great number of pieces for Max and I'd say this group has done pretty well for itself.
This is something I've procrastinated to do for too long and I think it's about time I lay down a few guidelines for the submissions.
-------------
==SUBMISSION GUIDELINES==
- Members of the group will have unlimited submissions while non-members will be allowed only 2 submissions per day; all of which will be subject to vote. I typically check DA multiple times a day, so your submission won't be on hold for very long. And as for submitting it to the right folder, I attempted to make the folders pretty straightforward and easy to understand, so hopefully, there won't be much room for confusion. I trust most of you understand how to submit your works to the right folder.
- The most important rule for all submissions is that your piece must include Max in some way. He can be in whatever form you would like (human, another animal, taller, bigger, gender-swapped, in baby form, etc... or just as he is), but he must be a part of the piece. Your piece does not have to solely focus on him; if you have a piece with a large group of characters, and Max is one of them, I will take it. As long as he is visible in the piece, I will accept it.
- I will also accept written works as well. If you have written a fanfic about Max or something that features Max in a group of characters, I will gladly accept it.
- As for the content, I will allow material that is mildly explicit. If you're not entirely sure how I define "mildly explicit", you can visit the Mature Content folder in the gallery to see what I mean. I have no problem if you draw something that's a bit violent, sexual, or contains coarse language. I don't mind any of that at all. I trust most of you will follow the DA guidelines for uploading appropriate content, and I also trust you may put a warning or censor on something that is explicit. *Also as a side note* Anything that is considered explicit will be moved to the Mature Content folder and will not be featured in any other gallery.
- I will only turn away pieces for two reasons:
1- Max is not included. To expand on the points I made earlier, if you're creating a comic which features Max as a character, I will only accept the pages that feature Max. Also, if you're submitting a piece where Max is only mentioned in the description, I will not accept it. For example, if you submit a picture of Mickey Mouse, where Max is no where to be seen in the picture, but in the description is a comment that says you love Max, I won't take it.
2- It is way too explicit. This includes hate art. I will NOT accept any hate art against Max or his family/friends. After all, this is a group in SUPPORT of Max, not against him.
-----------------
Other than that, I'll accept any picture or story of Max.
Before I end this, I would like to thank all of our members (both current and former) for submitting pieces into the group. There's a lot of material out there, and finding it all is too much for one person to handle, so thank you to everyone who has either submitted their own work or someone else's work.
I would also like to personally thank for her influence on this group (mainly the creation of the Mature Content folder). Her group is doing very well, and I'm also making a request for any member to participate in the group's first contest, if you choose.
If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints, by all means, comment on this page and let me know. I will help as best as I can. I expect to make some more changes over the course of this year, such as adding new folders and things of that nature.
That is all for now. Thank you for reading, and continue to submit to the group
